Sabr is a concept emphasized in many of Islam's religious scriptures and represents an important spiritual quality for Muslims.
In the Quran, Sabr is described as a virtue that believers should strive for in difficult times. It emphasizes that patience is of great importance in times of trial and suffering. The Prophet Muhammad himself has often been portrayed as a model of patience and fortitude, particularly during his own trials and challenges.
Sabr involves more than just enduring hardship; it also includes the ability to remain calm and submit to the will of God. It requires self-control, perseverance and trust in divine wisdom. Muslims believe that Sabr is rewarding and that God blesses those who remain patient.
In addition, Sabr is often associated with other virtues such as gratitude (shukr) and forgiveness (maghfirah). Together they form part of Islam's ethical framework and serve as guiding principles for living a virtuous life.
